This week we are wrapping up our Human Body Systems unit with a project. The student received the project options (only a video will be a group project, all others are individually completed!). These are due Wednesday at the end of class. Notebook checks are going on this week. Students should have 9 stamps: 1. Bill Nye Digestion 2. Digestive System Warm Up 3. This week we continue our Human Body unit with finishing up the Excretory system and moving into the Reproductive system! We will have a quiz on Digestive and Excretory combined on Wednesday. This week we are exploring the Circulatory and Respiratory Systems. For the rest of this unit, we will spend roughly 4 days on a body system, end with a quiz, and begin a new system. This week is our Unit Test! I have attached the keys to our review activities from class today - use them to check your work. As of Wednesday we will start exploring Human Body Systems :) If students want to do test corrections for the exam, they have a week from when we pass it back - likely Monday next week (HOPE games Friday!). Reminder: Cells, Tissue, Organ packet due Monday May 15 Current Event due NEXT week - May 17th Grades will be updated by Friday for tests and projects and other missing work coming in.
This week students will be putting together all their knowledge on genetics to create a project on a unique genetic condition. Conditions will be chosen on Tuesday, and research will occur in class Tuesday-Thursday. Projects are due Friday - presentations on each condition will happen on Friday! Friday is not a project work day. http://kidshealth.org is a great site to start researching on!
